- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪I just had a cyst removed from my lower lip today and the experience was as good as can be expected. Dr Rothman is an excellent doctor, he was able to thoroughly explain the details of my extremity. The most important thing was that he made me feel comfortable through the whole procedure. - ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪I was sent to Dr Rothman by me dentist to have some teeth extracted to get ready for dentures. I went in for the consultation and they got a plan together, While in the office I was told that they were going to get authorization from my insurance provider to get the work done. After waiting for about a week I called and they said they were still waiting for the insurance company. After another week I called back and the same response. I then called my insurance company and they told me that an authorization request had not even been filed. While on the phone with the insurance company the representative called Dr Rothman's office and they spoke to the person in charge of insurance for their office ans sure enough no one there had even sent in for an authorization. Finally the authorization was approved and a date was set for the procedure. The Thursday before the procedure Dr Rothman's office called me and said that because I had had such a problem with my insurance and their office it would be better to have someone else to the work. So I called Clark&Holmes located in Birmingham and Hoover. I had the consultation on a Thursday the authorization request was sent in on the next Monday and approval was given by the next Monday and the Thursday after the authorization was given I had the work done. So in short, well I guess it's past short now, I got the impression because I pushed someone to do their job they did not want to deal with me anymore. I do not recommend Dr Rothman's office. He may very well be a good Dr. however I found his office staff lacking. I suggest Clark&Holmes in Birmingham. They are good fast and efficient.March 02, 2017by Lynn Templeton
